CIN 10 Year Product Guarantee – the key points you need to know

1. The CIN guarantee is a secondary guarantee that becomes effective in the event that your CIN installer ceases to trade, otherwise all enquiries must be referred to your installer.

2. The CIN guarantee is effective for a period of 10 years from the date of your installation and covers all CIN brand PVC-u windows, doors, conservatories and sealed units assuming the units are supplied glazed to your installer.

3. Should any fault or defect appear in any of your products due to defective materials we will repair or, if needed, replace the faulty unit free of charge – this guarantee covers the product only and does not cover defects caused by the installer.

4. This Guarantee does not cover defects arising from fair wear and tear, accidents, neglect, misuse, corrosive substances dust, movement of existing building or materials or other causes however applied or contracted.

5. The 10 year guarantee does not cover consequential breakage of glass or damage caused through attempted break-in or injury, however arising and liability in respect of any third party is expressly excluded.

6. Some cleaning agents will not be suitable for your new doors, windows or conservatory and if used may affect the Guarantee. We strongly advise that you regularly clean your new doors and windows with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly and dried with a soft cloth or chamois leather.

7. Claims under this Guarantee must be made within 30 days of any defect becoming apparent – claims will be rendered invalid if you alter or modify your installation in any way.

8. We are an ethical organisation and in accordance with the Codes of Ethical Practice, this Guarantee is transferable to any new owner of the property for the remaining period of the Guarantee. We ask that you give written notice of the transfer of the property within 30 days of completion of sale to the CIN Authorised Installer.
